Abstract

Di dalam mengajar, banyak tantangan yang harus dihadapi oleh dosen di perguruan tinggi. Tantangan ini berpotensi memengaruhi dan menurunkan kinerjanya sebagai dosen. Pada titik ini penting untuk menjaga agar dosen tetap fokus dan terlibat dalam pekerjaannya. Ketika dosen mampu mengalami keadaan work engagement maka harapannya kinerjanya terjaga secara lebih stabi. Salah satu hal yang diduga memiliki keterkaitan dengan work engagement pada dosen adalah collegiality atau relasi profesional dalam bekerja di antara sesama individu di dunia kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur secara empiris keterkaitan aspek-aspek collegiality dan work engagement. Variabel usia partisipan ditambahkan untuk memperkaya temuan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 137 orang dosen yang berasal dari Jakarta. Skala collegiality dan skala work engagement digunakan untuk mengukur konstruk dalam penelitian ini. Data diambil dengan menggunakan kuesioner daring dengan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan beberapa temuan utama, misalnya semua aspek collegiality berkorelasi dengan work engagement. Korelasi terkuat muncul pada aspek dukungan dan kepercayaan antar dosen, berbagi ide dan keahlian, dan berbagi sumber belajar.
