Author Guidelines
Jurnal Psikologi Universitas Gunadarma (JPUG) requires authors to strictly follow the manuscript preparation guidelines based on the official JPUG template. Manuscripts that do not comply with these requirements may be returned for revision prior to review.
1. General Requirements
Manuscripts must be based on empirical research in psychology.
The manuscript must be original, not previously published, and not under review in another journal.
The article must follow the official JPUG template format.
Font: Times New Roman (TNR); Main text size 11 pt; Abstract size 8.5 pt; single spacing.
Submission is conducted online through the JPUG OJS system.
2. Title and Author Information
The title must be written in CAPITAL LETTERS, 14 pt font size.
Author names are written below the title, followed by faculty and university affiliation.
Corresponding author information (full name and email address) must be provided.
ISSN: 2598-6368 (online) and 1693-7236 (print).
3. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract must be written in Indonesian (ABSTRAK) and English (ABSTRACT).
Maximum 200 words each, TNR 8.5 pt.
The abstract should briefly describe the research background, objective, method, results, and conclusion.
Keywords must be written alphabetically, minimum 3 and maximum 5 words.
4. Introduction
The introduction must be written in narrative paragraph form (no bullet points).
Avoid excessive theoretical explanation as commonly found in undergraduate theses.
Present research background, problem formulation, research gap, and objectives clearly.

5. Research Method
The method section must begin with participant description, including inclusion criteria and demographic characteristics.
Measurement instruments must be described in the following order:
(1) Original source of the scale
(2) Construct being measured
(3) Number of items and sample item
(4) Response categories and scoring range
(5) Reliability coefficient in the current study
Each instrument must be explained in a separate paragraph, starting from the dependent variable (DV).
Data analysis techniques must be clearly described.

6. Results and Discussion
All research findings must be discussed using relevant theories and previous empirical studies published in scientific journals.
This section should constitute the largest proportion of the manuscript.
Tables and figures must be properly referenced and interpreted in the discussion.

7. Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
Table titles are written above the table; figure captions are written below the figure.
Avoid vertical lines in tables.
Figures must be clear and high resolution.
8. Conclusion and Suggestions
This section must consist of two paragraphs.
The first paragraph explains the research conclusions.
The second paragraph provides practical and/or theoretical suggestions.
This section should not be overly long.

9. References
References must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style.
At least 80% of references must come from journal articles (national or international).
All cited references must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.
Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley.

10. Review and Publication Policy
All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening.
JPUG applies a peer-review process.
Article history (Received, Revised, Accepted) will be filled in by the editorial team.
Citation format and “Cite this Article” section will be completed by the journal.
