PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING DAN PERSONAL GROWTH INITIATIVE PADA DEWASA AWAL YANG BERCERAI

Bagi sebagian orang, perceraian dijadikan momentum untuk bangkit dan mengembangkan diri. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa psychological well-being memiliki peran penting dalam membantu individu menghadapi perubahan dan membangun personal growth initiative pasca perceraian. Sementara itu, personal growth initiative menggambarkan sikap proaktif seseorang dalam memperbaiki dan mengarahkan kehidupannya secara positif. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah dewasa awal yang bercerai sebanyak 151 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan dua skala psikologis, yaitu psychological well-being dan personal growth initiative. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa psychological well-being berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap personal growth initiative pada individu dewasa awal yang bercerai. Nilai kontribusi yang relatif tidak besar ini menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat faktor psikologis lain yang berpengaruh, seperti resiliensi, efikasi diri, strategi koping, dan dukungan sosial yang juga berperan dalam mendorong inisiatif pengembangan diri. Analisis lebih lanjut juga memperlihatkan bahwa psychological well-being juga memiliki pengaruh terhadap semua aspek personal growth initiative di mana pengaruh terbesar ditujukan kepada kesiapan untuk berubah, dan penggunaan sumber daya.
