Abstract
Menjadi seorang ibu merupakan salah satu fase terpenting dalam sepanjang kehidupan wanita yang menuntut banyak perubahan. Perubahan-perubahan yang kompleks memberikan konsekuensi psikologis pada ibu primipara seperti stres dan depresi. Oleh karena itu diperlukan self-compassion dalam diri ibu sebagai penyangga untuk menyesuaikan diri menjalani peran barunya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan dukungan sosial dan self-compassion pada ibu primipara. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua skala, yaitu self-compassion scale (SCS) dan postpartum social support questionare (PSSQ). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 243 ibu primipara dengan kriteria sampel yaitu ibu yang berusia 20-40 tahun, tinggal bersama suami, tidak ada kelahiran kembar, tidak pernah mengalami keguguran, kondisi anak dalam keadaan normal dengan rentang usia anak 1-24 bulan. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan self-compassion pada ibu primipara.
