PENGARUH SOSIAL SUPPORT TERHADAP SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT PADA MAHASISWA

Abstract

School engagement adalah proses perkembangan yang melibatkan perilaku serta sikap yang terlihat lewat tingkah laku, emosi serta kognitif mahasiswa yang berbeda-beda seperti partisipasi, motivasi, perasaan dan hal lain berkaitan dengan lingkungan belajar. School engagement dapat membantu memprediksi kecenderungan mahasiswa mengalami putus kuliah. Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh sosial support terhadap school engagement pada mahasiswa dengan menggunakan School Engagement Measure (SEM) dan Child Adolescent Sosial Support (CASS). Teknik sampling yang digunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh subjek mahasiswa sebanyak 116 orang. Hipotesis penelitian diuji menggunakan regresi sederhana yang menunjukan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian diterima dengan R Square 0,215 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh sosial support sebanyak 21,5% terhadap school engagement pada mahasiswa.
