Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  7. The paper is the result of empirical research, or a meta-analysis / systematic review manuscript.
  8. Scientific writing uses standard Indonesian, so for every foreign word, you should look for its equivalent in standard Indonesian.
  9. Sentences taken from scientific writings in foreign languages to be quoted are translated into standard Indonesian.
  10. Writing references using the rules of the author's last name accompanied by the year (example: Kotler, 2000).
  11. Citation with the author's name written in all is a maximum of 3 people (example: Fergusson, Hock, & Lively, 2017), while if more than 3 people then written using et al. (example: Keller et al., 2018).
  12. Authors should still ensure that citations in the text and in the Bibliography section also meet the latest APA guidelines even when using reference management software such as Mendeley.
  13. Do not use footnotes.
  14. Keep primary citations from journals to a minimum of 80% and citations with a publication year of the last 10 years to a minimum of 80% of the total number of citations.
  15. Authors must follow the journal template.
