KEPUASAN DALAM HUBUNGAN BERPACARAN PADA DEWASA AWAL: APAKAH TIPE KEPRIBADIAN PENTING?

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris hubungan antara big five personality dengan kepuasan hubungan pada dewasa muda yang berpacaran. Responden penelitian ini terdiri dari 202 orang dewasa muda yang telah berpacaran minimal 6 bulan. Untuk mengukur kepuasan hubungan dan kepribadian lima besar, peneliti mengadaptasi Skala Penilaian Hubungan (RAS) dan Lima Besar Inventarisasi (BFI). Data dianalisis dengan mengkorelasikan setiap dimensi big five personality dengan kepuasan hubungan menggunakan Korelasi Product Moment Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 4 dari 5 dimensi big five personality memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dengan kepuasan hubungan. Conscientiousness, openness, dan extraversion berkorelasi positif dengan kepuasan hubungan, neuroticism berkorelasi negatif, sedangkan agreeableness tidak berkorelasi dengan kepuasan hubungan.
