APAKAH TIPE KEPRIBADIAN TERKAIT DENGAN NIAT MENGGUNAKAN TEKNOLOGI PADA DOSEN YANG MELAKUKAN PENGAJARAN DARING?

Abstract
Teknologi menjadi sangat penting saat ini, tidak terkecuali bidang pendidikan. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah, tidak semua teknologi mudah untuk digunakan, teknologi yang dipersepsikan sulit, membuat pengguna tidak memiliki niat menggunakannya. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh kepribadian terhadap niat dosen untuk menggunakan teknologi dalam kegiatan mengajar secara daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua skala, yaitu skala niat menggunakan teknologi dan big five personality inventories. Peneliti menetapkan sejumlah karakteristik pada sampel penelitian ini, di antaranya dosen tetap suatu universitas di Jakarta, memberikan pengajaran secara synchronous dan asynchronous sejumlah 98 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa dari lima dimensi kepribadian yang dikemukakan McRae dan Costa tidak semuanya memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap niat menggunakan teknologi. Dimensi kepribadian conscientiousness, extravesion, openness to experience dan agreeableness ditemukan memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap niat menggunakan teknologi, berbeda hasilnya ditemukan pada dimensi neuroticism.
