Author Guidelines

Journal of Digital Media Communication (DIMEDCOM) requires authors to strictly follow the manuscript template before submission. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned for revision.

1. Title and Author Information

Title

The title must be written in Times New Roman 18 pt, bold, with each major word capitalized except conjunctions.

Author Information

Author names must be written without academic titles. The first author should be in bold (13 pt), while other authors use 12 pt regular font. Affiliations must include institution name, email address, and country. Corresponding author must be clearly indicated.

2. Abstract and Keywords

Abstract

The abstract must be written in Times New Roman 11 pt, single spaced, justified, and maximum 250 words. The abstract must contain background, objective, theoretical foundation, hypothesis (if applicable), methods, results and discussion, and conclusion in one paragraph.

Keywords

Authors must provide five alphabetically ordered keywords separated by semicolons (;).

3. Introduction

The Introduction must be written in Times New Roman 11 pt, single spaced, and the manuscript must contain 5000–8000 words. This section explains research significance, background, scientific evidence, theoretical foundation, research gaps, previous studies, and research objectives.

4. Theoretical Framework

This section presents the theories used as the foundation of the research and hypothesis development. The main theory must be related to communication studies and supported by relevant scientific sources.

5. Material and Methodology

This section must clearly describe research procedures including location, time, population, sample, variables, data collection, and data analysis techniques in detail.

6. Result and Discussion

This section presents research findings and systematic discussion interconnected with the applied theories and novelty in communication studies. This section must comprise approximately 40–50% of the manuscript.

Tables

Tables must be centered, editable (not images), numbered with Arabic numerals, and titled above the table (11 pt). Table content must use 10 pt font. Only horizontal lines are allowed. If adapted from other sources, the source must be written below the table.

Figures

Figures must be centered, high resolution, numbered with Arabic numerals, and captioned below the figure (10 pt). If taken from other sources, the source must be written below the caption.

7. Structure and Formatting

Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word format. The structure must follow this order: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Main Text, Acknowledgements, and References. Bullets and numbering are forbidden. Footnotes are not allowed. Figures and tables must be embedded within the manuscript.

8. References

References must be written in APA style and arranged alphabetically. References must be up to date (last 5–10 years), minimum 20 references, and at least 90% must be journal articles. Authors are strongly encouraged to use Mendeley Reference Manager.

9. Journal Publishing Agreement

All authors must complete the Journal Publishing Agreement before publication. The agreement protects copyrighted material while retaining authors’ proprietary rights.

10. Conclusions

The conclusion must highlight the novelty, theoretical contribution, and benefit to communication studies. It must not exceed two paragraphs.

11. After Acceptance

Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author via email. Corrections must be returned within one week and should only address typesetting errors. Authors are fully responsible for proofreading.
