Author Guidelines

BISMAKU provides the following author guidelines. Authors are required to follow this template carefully before submitting their manuscript.

1. Title and Author Information

Title

  • Written in Title Case
  • Clear and concise
  • Reflects research content

Author(s) Information

  • Full name without academic titles
  • Institution name
  • Full institutional address
  • Email address for each author
  • Corresponding author must be clearly indicated
2. Abstract and Keywords

Abstract (Indonesian)

  • Written in Times New Roman 11 pt, italic
  • Single spacing
  • Maximum 200 words
  • One paragraph only
  • Must contain objective, method, and results

Abstract (English)

  • Mandatory
  • Same format as Indonesian abstract

Keywords

  • Maximum 5 keywords
  • Alphabetical order
3. Introduction
  • Contains background of the study
  • States research objectives clearly
  • Previous related research may be mentioned
  • No extensive theoretical discussion
4. Literature Review / Theoretical Framework
  • Describes state-of-the-art research
  • Contains relevant concepts and theories
  • Includes previous studies as primary references
  • If empirical research, includes hypothesis development
5. Research Method
  • Clearly explains research procedures and techniques
  • Describes population, sampling, data collection, and analysis
  • Must be written clearly (not copied from other studies)
  • Subsections are allowed without numbering
6. Results and Discussion
  • Presents summarized research data
  • Includes data analysis and interpretation
  • Uses theory and previous research for interpretation
  • This section should be the largest portion (around 50% or more)
  • May contain subsections without numbering

Tables

  • Created using MS Word table feature (not images)
  • Title placed above table (centered)
  • Source written below table (10 pt)

Figures

  • Preferably JPEG format
  • Title placed below figure
  • Source written below caption (10 pt)

Equations and Symbols

  • Use MS Word Equation Editor
  • Use standard symbols from Word Processor
7. Conclusion and Suggestions
  • Conclusion must answer research objectives
  • Written concisely (not repetition of discussion)
  • Suggestions provide direction for future research
8. References

References must follow APA 6th Edition (APA Guide 2017).

  • Only cited references are listed
  • Minimum 80% journal articles (primary sources)
  • Publication year within last 5–7 years
  • Journal and book references should not be older than 2020
  • Arranged alphabetically
  • Not grouped by publication type

  • Journal articles (with DOI if available)
  • Conference papers
  • Thesis/Dissertation (print or online)
  • Online articles
  • Newspaper/Magazine articles
9. Important Notes
  • Manuscript must be submitted in MS Word format (.doc or .docx)
  • PDF format is not accepted
  • Journal references should preferably be published from 2020 onwards
  • Book references should preferably be published from 2020 onwards
