KONTRIBUSI KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL TERHADAP PERILAKU PERUNDUNGAN SIBER PADA REMAJA AKHIR DI MEDIA SOSIAL

Abstract

Cyberbullying adalah perilaku tidak terpuji yang secara teratur dilakukan oleh siswa karena ketidakseimbangan kekuatan. Hal dari dalam diri yang mendorong perilaku bullying adalah kecerdasan emosional yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi secara empiris hubungan kecerdasan emosional dan kecenderungan remaja muda untuk melakukan perundungan siber di media sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dan menggunakan program SPSS versi 22.0 untuk Windows. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 105 orang laki-laki dan perempuan berusia antara 15 dan 19 tahun yang secara aktif menggunakan media sosial selama minimal 5 jam setiap hari. Cyber Victim and Bullying Scale (CVBS) dan Wong Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) digunakan untuk mengukur perilaku perundungan siber. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana diperoleh F sebesar 54,316 serta signifikansi sebesar 0.001 (p < 0,01) dan kontribusi kecerdasan emosional terhadap perundungan siber sebesar 34,5%,  terdapat 65% yang merupakan faktor lain di luar penelitian ini.
