TRANSFORMASI BISNIS DAN KOMUNIKASI INTERNAL DI MASA KRISIS: SEBUAH PEMBELAJARAN DARI JAKARTA EXPERIENCE BOARD

Abstract

Transformasi bisnis ialah bagian tak terpisahkan dari cara sebuah perusahaan untuk mempertahankan eksistensi mereka sekaligus memperoleh peluang baru bagi perusahaan. Dalam prosesnya, komunikasi internal menjadi faktor kunci yang menentukan apakah transformasi akan berhasil ataupun gagal. Penelitian ini berupaya menjelaskan proses transformasi bisnis yang dilakukan oleh Jakarta Experience Board (JXB) sepanjang tahun 2020-2021, beserta model komunikasi internal yang digunakan oleh perusahaan untuk mencapai tujuan transformasi tersebut. Ada pun, penelitian ini menggunakan metode riset kualitatif dengan melakukan studi literatur, wawancara, dan observasi langsung. Merujuk pada konsep yang ditawarkan oleh Qiao Yunli dan Yan Laishi (2010), kami menemukan bahwa transformasi perusahaan di Jakarta Experience Board (JXB) sudah melalui dua tahap yang berbeda, yakni: (1) tahap kebangkitan dan perubahan awal (awakening and thaw stage) dan (2) tahap rekonstruksi dan internalisasi (reconstruction and internalization stage). Model komunikasi yang berbeda pun diterapkan pada dua tahap transformasi perusahaan tersebut, yakni (1) komunikasi linier (linear communication) dan (2) komunikasi "empat dalam satu" (“four in one” communication). Namun, JXB belum mencapai tahap integrasi dan pengokohan (integration and freezing stage) karena masih terdapat beragam tantangan dan hambatan internal yang perlu diselesaikan oleh manajemen perusahaan.
