THE 7TH APSMI INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
China and Digital Transformation: A Multidisciplinary Perspective in Social Sciences and Humanities
China has long been one of the centers of world civilization, which significantly influences various aspects of life, from culture to economy and geopolitics. In recent decades, this country has increasingly asserted its position as one of the dominant global powers. China's role in the world is not only seen from its rapid economic growth, but also from its contributions in the fields of science, culture, and technology. With this development, understanding China is vital in the context of economics and politics and from a broader social and humanities perspective.
Social sciences and humanities are important in exploring China's society and cultural dynamics. The social transformation due to modernization and globalization creates interesting challenges and changes to study regarding traditional culture, community communication patterns, and how social values face changing times. Social sciences and humanities about China can provide deeper insights into how this country adapts to global change without abandoning its traditional roots.
Along with the rapid development of digital technology, various aspects of life in China have also changed. Technology not only brings convenience to daily life, but also influences patterns of social interaction, the production of arts and culture, and transformations in societal values. In this context, social humanities studies are becoming increasingly relevant to understand how Chinese society responds to the challenges of the digital era and how traditions persist amidst technological advances.
As an open and inclusive forum for discussion, this conference is expected to be a platform for academics, practitioners, teachers, and students from various fields of science to share ideas, concepts, and research results related to social and cultural transformation in China. With a multidisciplinary approach, this activity will provide a broader understanding of the dynamics of Chinese society, but also offer perspectives that can be applied in social humanities studies in general.
The Indonesian Higher Education Mandarin Program Association (APSMI) is the primary driver in strengthening scientific studies related to Indonesia's Chinese language and culture. By organizing this conference, APSMI provides space to exchange ideas across disciplines, supporting the development of the social humanities sciences. With a strong network among academics, practitioners, and teachers, APSMI is committed to continuing to be a bridge in connecting Indonesia and China through an inclusive and collaborative academic approach.
