PENGARUH KETIDAKSETARAAN GENDER PADA PENDIDIKAN TERHADAP KEMISKINAN DI PROVINSI BANTEN

Abstract

Ketidaksetaraan gender membatasi peran perempuan dalam mengakses berbagai sumber daya. Pendidikan merupakan hak asasi manusia yang universal dan merupakan komponen penting dari pemberdayaan perempuan. Perempuan terdidik, dengan tingkat produktivitas yang tinggi, mempunyai peluang lebih besar untuk dapat berpartisipasi di pasar tenaga kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ketidaksetaraan gender dalam pendidikan terhadap kemiskinan di Provinsi Banten. Untuk menjawab tujuan, penelitian ini menggunakan data Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (SUSENAS) Maret tahun 2020 dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) dengan metode regresi logistik biner. Temuan empiris menunjukkan bahwa rasio rata-rata lama sekolah perempuan terhadap laki-laki dalam rumah tangga memiliki dampak negatif yang signifikan terhadap kemiskinan. Ini berarti semakin tinggi rata-rata lama sekolah perempuan akan berdampak pada menurunnya tingkat kemiskinan. Hubungan terbalik antara variabel ketidaksetaraan gender dalam pendidikan dan kemiskinan menunjukkan pentingnya kebijakan-kebijakan pengarusutamaan gender terutama dibidang pendidikan sebagai salah satu solusi mengentaskan kemiskinan.
